Introduction

Ball pits are a fun therapeutic element that encourage movement and play. The massaging effect of the balls also encourages proprioception.

Illuminated ball pits consist of transparent balls that allow colored light to pass through them and be projected from inside the pit, creating an incredible light effect that boosts interaction.

Feel any sound or music through your entire body thanks to the pool’s vibration, which follows the rhythm of the music (available only in the vibroacoustic version).

The Luminea Pool allows interaction with the lighting in various ways: from the wall buttons, via the Luminea App, through different Qinera controllers, or using the SHX system.

The ball pit colors change at the same time as the rest of the room thanks to the SHX System: you can select a color by means of any SHX controller (remote control, tablet, die, touchscreen panel, button…), or allow the color to change depending on voice signals or the images being projected.

Power supply:

DMX Cable:

Vibration cable (vibroacustic version only).

  • A 230V socket must be provided for the power supply of the device.
  • A DMX connection must be provided for lighting control (female DMX connector).
  • In case of need to control more lighting elements, a second DMX connection must be provided to ensure continuity to the signal (male DMX connector).
  • For the vibroacoustic version the vibroacoustic cable must be brought to the vibration amplifier. If desired, a socket with a female Speak on connector near the pool can be provided:

Unpack the 5 foam blocks that make up the ball pool. There will be 2 long blocks, two shorts and a square platform. The square platform has a cable with a speakon connector that corresponds to the vibroacoustic system that has the platform integrated (only in vibroacustic version).

The layout of the pool walls is as shown in the diagram:

Connections:

In the various modules, you will find the connections for the pool’s components:

  1. Connection for the pool’s power supply.
  2. Wall button connection cables. Each cable is labelled with the corresponding button colour.
  3. DMX connection cables. These cables have 3-pin circular connectors for connecting the pool’s DMX system within rooms equipped with the SHX system. Important: If you are not connecting the pool to other room elements, these connectors do not need to be plugged in.
  4. Lighting connection cables. These cables have 5-pin circular connectors. They allow you to connect the pool’s lighting components.

Assembly of the Ball Pool

The pool assembly steps are as follows:

STEP 1:

Place the base on the floor, stretching the Velcro® tabs flat to avoid wrinkles, as shown in the image. If the base has a vibroacoustic element, unroll the cable and stretch it out so it does not remain under the base. Avoid pulling on the cable at all times.

STEP 2:

Place the two short modules, one at each opposite end of the base as shown in the image.

Attach the wall flaps to the top of the pool’s base to secure the walls to the base.

STEP 3:

Place the long module with the yellow button as shown in the diagram. Before fully setting the module in place, make all necessary connections:

  • Connect the green and yellow button cables by matching each cable with its corresponding colour.
  • Connect the lighting cables between the red and yellow button modules.

STEP 4:

Place the other long module with the blue button, following the same process as in Step 3.

Complete the connections:

  • Connect the blue button cables.
  • Connect the lighting cables with the blue module’s lighting connector.
  • If you are connecting the pool via DMX with other elements, connect the DMX input cable to the male connector (with pins) and the output cable (if needed) to the female connector.
  • Connect the pool’s power adapter to the power input connector.

STEP 5:

Plug the pool into the power source and check its operation as indicated in the next section, ensuring that all connections are properly made.

Position the pool in its final location, leaving the power button (on the front of the red-button module) accessible.

Connect the base’s vibroacoustic cable to the vibration amplifier.

Fill the pool with the ball bags supplied with the pool.

Vibration cable connection:

Connect the connector of the vibration element (depending on the product version) to the vibration amplifier.

To connect the connector you must insert it into the connector and turn it until you feel a “click”:

To disconnect the connector, you must pull the silver lever and rotate the connector counterclockwise to remove it.

Start-up

Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet. When connected, the pool’s lighting elements will turn on in white for approximately 10 seconds. After this time, the lights will automatically cycle through different colours.

Powering On and Off: you can turn the pool on and off using the white button located on the front of the module with the red button.

Button Operation: You can change the lighting color using the wall buttons. If you want to return to automatic color-changing mode, turn the pool off and back on using the white power button.

Use of the product

Button control:

The pool can be controlled via the wall buttons as described in the Start-up section.

Luminea controllers:

You can control the device using any of the Qinera controllers: Button 6, Button 1, Sensory Cube, Sensory Step.
Configure the controller to operate with devices of this type (type C) and change the pool’s color wirelessly from each controller. Refer to the controller’s manual for details on its operation.

Control via Luminea App:

You can also control the device using an Android tablet with the Luminea App.
If you have a Luminea Router:

  • Connect the tablet to the router’s WiFi (WiFi: Multisensory, Password: Temporal123456).
  • Check the App to see if your device appears in the device list.

If you do not have a Luminea Router, you will need to connect your device and the tablet to the same available WiFi. Refer to the user manual for configuration instructions.

Using the Pool in SHX rooms:

From the SHX software, you can control the device’s lighting. The SHX application has a tab for changing the device’s colours. You can choose different colours or activate the automatic colour-change function.

You can configure various contents in the SHX application to create the desired effects associated with that content.

Refer to the SHX application manual for instructions on creating this content (automatic mode, SHX scenes, by sound, simultaneous with other elements, or independently).

Vibroacoustic control:

The pool has a vibroacoustic element that allows it to vibrate with music.

To use the bed’s vibration feature, connect the cable from the pool’s base to a vibration amplifier. Refer to the vibroacoustic amplifier manual you purchased with the pool for instructions on connecting and using the pool’s vibration.

IMPORTANT: If you did not purchase the vibration amplifier with the pool, be aware that it cannot be connected to a conventional sound amplifier. Refer to the technical specifications of the vibroacoustic element indicated in this manual to ensure the amplifier matches the vibroacoustic system’s characteristics.

The control of this device has been added to the SHX application.
