Safety warning

To ensure the safe operation of the device it’s recommended to read this manual before starting to use the device.

The correct and supervised use of this equipment will guarantee a long term use.
The product should always be used under adult supervision.
Install both the power unit and the bulb at a minimum distance of 0.5m away from any flammable element.

Description

Introduction

Fixed on the ceiling, the ball rotates slowly by means of a motor and the focus with a color filter dyes reflections that expand through the room.

If you would like to control these devices in an SHX room, you will need two Enabler Sockets (not included).

Pre-Installation

For the pre-installation of the product you will need:

Power socket 230V -50Hz for the motorized mirror ball.
Power socket 230V-50Hz for the light.

If you find any damage or lack of material when unpacking, please contact BJ Adaptations. It is recommended to keep the boxes for the duration of the guarantee period in case it is necessary to reuse it again.

Necessary elements for assembly:

For mounting the light you will need the following items not included in the product:

1x screw with cylindrical head (minimum diameter 4.5mm)
1x fixing bracket on the wall (make sure that the plug is suitable for the mounting surface)
1x Wide-flanged washer.

For the mirror ball, you will need the following elements not included in the product:

3x screw with cylindrical head (minimum diameter 4mm)
3x fixation plate on the roof (make sure that the dowel is suitable for the mounting surface).

Light installation

Installation recommendations:

The light can be mounted on wall or ceiling.

A separation of 30cm should be left between the ventilation grille and the wall or ceiling.

Do not install the light in the following places:

Areas exposed to sunlight or sources of heat.
Wet areas or where the projector can receive splashes
Areas with sudden changes in temperature.

For mounting the light has a base with 1 hole.

STEP 1. Mount the light

The light on the base must be removed by loosening the side knobs.
Use the base to mark the fixing hole.
Make holes in the wall or ceiling and fix the base (with a block of number 6 and the screw is sufficient, add a wide-flanged washer to ensure the contact of the screw and the base).
Then mount the projector on the base. Do not cover the ventilation holes of the appliance.

STEP 2. Assemble the motor and the colours disc

The motor of the light must be fixed to an edge of this with the screw that carries the same motor. And then fix the color disc between the two nuts of the motor.

STEP 3. Turn the light on

The light does not have an on/off switch

Mirror Ball Installation

STEP 1. Motor installation.

Use the motor base to mark the 3 holes

Make the holes and fix the base (includes dowels and screws). Make sure that the supplied plugs are suitable for the mounting surface.

STEP 2. Mount the Mirror Ball.

Fix the mirror ball with the top ring hooked to the motor chain.

STEP 3. Power the motor of the ball

Connect the light to a power plug

The mirror ball does not have an on/off switch.

If you have an SHX room, please use this device with an Enabler Socket+ (BJ-234) . The device can be plugged in the same Enabler Socket+ of the spotlight.

If not, we suggest installing an on/off switch or a wireless remote.

(Alternative operation: it’s possible to connect the light and mirror ball with two different Socket +, this will simplify the installation and will give versatility to the system being able to control independently the two elements).

Startup

Once you plug in the devices directly into a power plug, they will turn on immediately.

In case you want to use the device via an Enabler Socket+:

Connect the devices to the Socket +.
Connect the Socket + to a power outlet.

Before connecting the bulb, check if the Socket + receiver is properly configured. The position of the wheels of the receiver must be:

It’s possible to connect a switch on the Socket + device’s switch input to control the system directly.

How to use at SHX rooms

Start the system can be done from the SHX application or through a switch, using the SHX application use the predefined configuration of the Fireball

With the default configuration delivered, when activating the devices, this will change its previous state.

To activate the fireball from the SHX application, you can go to the “Control” tab of the SHX application:

IMPORTANT: For the correct functioning of the device, the blue wheel of the Socket + device must be in position 1.

Software configuration

To control the system, the configuration of the device it’s already inluded in the SHX application.

The control of the system is transmitted by radiofrequency. The codes associated to the different functions of the system control are:

Code 29: activate / deactivate system
Code 59: deactivate system
Code 75: activate system

Maintenance

Light

Bulb replacement:

In the event that the bulb is founded, it must be replaced with a new one according to the original spare part. To replace the bulb follow the following steps:

Disconnect the light from the electric current and let the bulb to cool down.
Separate the aluminum ring near the bulb by loosening the two screws with a screwdriver.
Turn the aluminum ring counter clockwise until it clicks and pull the ring.
Remove the bulb and replace it with the same type of bub than the original.
Close the lid again following the reverse steps.

Cleaning

The ventilation holes must be kept clean.
Disconnect from the electrical current before cleaning the light.
Periodically clean the Pinspot light and the bulb with a damp cloth.

Mirror Ball

First disconnect the mirror ball from the electric current before cleaning it.
Clean the ball with a damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use aggressive products.
Check the mirror pieces periodically, specially after cleaning it, to make sure all the mirrors are well attached to the ball.
Periodically check if the motor mountings and the suspension chain of the ball are in good condition.

Troubleshooting

Either the motor or the light are not working:

In the event that one of the two devices does not start up, check the following steps:

IMPORTANT:

In the event that the Socket + is activated (a click must be heard each time an order is given), if bulb does not light up, try a new one to verify it has not been fused. Before removing the original bulb, make sure it is not hot.

FAQ's

Can the rotation speed of the mirror ball or the color disc be modified?

The speed of the motors can not be modified, if you need a different speed you should contact your dealer.

At what distance should the focus be mounted with respect to the mirror ball?

These two elements can be assembled with a minimum separation of 1m.

Recycling

Electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste

Dispose of the product at an electronic waste collection point or your specialist distributor.
Place the packaging material in the cardboard, paper and plastic recycling bins.
To avoid possible damage to the environment or human health that represents the elimination of this kind of waste, separate these products from other types of waste and reciprocally correct. In this way, the sustainable reuse of material resources will be promoted.
Private users can contact the establishment where they purchased the product or the relevant local authorities to find out how and where they can take it to an ecological and safe recycling.
Within the term of legal guarantee we undertake to rectify for free by means of repair or replacement the defects of the product derived from defective materials or manufacturing defects.
Any unauthorised alteration or modification of the product will void this warranty.

Any damage or breakage caused during transport must be notified within three days of receipt.
